April 2017 Ministry Update

26 05 2017

April was a good month for ministry. Unfortunately it was one of the last good weather months before the extreme heat sets in. It seems like every month our opportunities expand and we are trying to take full advantage of every open door we can. I find that as we are faithful in little opportunities the Lord seems without fail to lead us into new areas of service.

We were able to continue our street ministry at the Downtown Bakersfield Courthouse and bus station. We were able to give away 121 tracts and have many Gospel conversations. We met one dear elderly lady from a small town outside of Bakersfield and we were able to get her in touch with a local pastor to get her to church.

I saw the Lord truly bless in the prison this month. We saw 4 men express concern for their souls and 2 men make professions of faith. What made these two so special is that they came back to a second chapel a few weeks later and had purchased their own Bibles and had already loaded them with notes. There seemed to be a major change in their demeanor as well. We gave away 20 Gospel of John booklets, and 2 Bibles.

I was also blessed to visit with New Hope Baptist Church in Santa Rosa, California. Pastor Art Maricle has been a blessing to my family for over 30 years. I was able to preach to the adults in Sunday School and to the teens in the morning service. The church family was very supportive.

Please consider supporting us with your prayers as well as financially as we desire to serve the Lord full time in the Gospel ministry. There are so many people who need to hear the Gospel and so little time to labor and serve the Lord in this life.

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” C.H. Spurgeon
