Prayer Letter for November/December 2017

9 01 2018

Greetings:
I apologize for taking so long to send something but it has been a busy season. I have been helping with the preaching ministry at church plus we had a few big outreaches as well. In this update I hope to share happenings from November and December as well as give a 2017 year in review.

Church:

We have been continuing our pastoral search so keep that in prayer. In December I began leading our church’s outreach ministry. I wanted to take the burden off of our Associate Pastor plus evangelism is my burden. We took the Gospel to about 350 doors as well as giving out around 1,700 tracts at the Bakersfield Christmas parade.

My Associate pastor and myself have been taking turns preaching the Mid-week service. During his vacation I was able to fill the pulpit on Sunday as well. It has been a real blessing to have the opportunity to bring the Word to my church family.

Street Ministry:
Our street ministry slowed down during these last two months due to extra duties at church but we were able to minister a few times preaching and passing out about 200 tracts as well as giving out 2 Bibles. I was blessed to speak at Phoenix Seminary on the subject of street evangelism. While in town I was able to join a few brothers for some preaching at the Downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University,

Prison Ministry:
In November the prison was on lock down but I was able to go in during December and distribute 20 Bibles. I’m very excited for the opportunity to minister again this year. Many inmates have written letters thanking me as well as sharing what God is doing in their lives. We have sent 2 inmates some Christian growth materials with several others waiting for us to send them some.

Other News:
In December I was blessed to speak at Redwood Baptist Church. They have been one of our most faithful supporting churches and that day gave us 1,000 copies of John/Romans.

2017 Year in Review:

Looking back our year has been blessed. I preached to about 500 inmates, as well as giving out 102 Bibles and 100 copies of John/Romans. We saw 21 men make professions of faith as well as 50 men who confessed to being stirred about their souls.

We took the Gospel to 350 homes and passed out about 4,000 tracts. We were also able to help the less fortunate with 200 meals as well as giving clothes to 100 people in need. We look forward to what the Lord would have us do in 2018!

Please consider supporting us financially as well as with your prayers as we desire to serve the Lord full time in the Gospel ministry. There are so many people who need to hear the Gospel and so little time to labor and serve the Lord in this life.

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” C.H. Spurgeon
