Who We Are

Our ministry was founded in 2004 as Project Lazarus. We were based in Selma, California and ministered in Downtown Fresno among the homeless with food, Gospel tracts and Bibles.

In 2016 we moved to Bakersfield, California and continued ministering to the homeless population while also beginning a prison ministry at two California State prisons.

During that time we went by the name Lighthouse Gospel Ministries as prisons are places of heavy darkness. We also continued in street ministry and filling pulpits as churches had need.

In 2022 we moved to the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We decided to change our name to Tabernacle of David Ministries because the Bible says that Christ is rebuilding the Tabernacle of David which represents a kingdom of worship for all people.

Today we minister on skid row in Downtown L.A. as well as on the streets and migrant camps in Mexico. We still have active street evangelism as well as online Bible teaching.
